Privacy policy

The booking form asks for a name, a phone number, the city, which appliance has failed, the kind of work needed, and a short description of the fault. An email address and a preferred time are optional. The form asks for nothing else, and this site never asks for card or bank details.

Those details are used for one thing: to reply about the repair and arrange a visit.

The site also counts visits with Google Analytics — which pages are read, which links bring a visitor in, and roughly which part of the country the browser is in. That measures the site rather than a person, and it is not attached to a booking.

A booking record is kept while the job is live, and afterwards as the business’s record of the work and of the parts warranty on it, which runs for 3 months.

Analytics records are kept by Google for 14 months and then removed automatically.

Google Analytics sets cookies in the browser so that a second visit is not counted as a second person. Through those analytics, Google can gather information about browsing over time and across other websites. Royal Appliance neither does that itself nor sees the result; Google describes it at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

This site does not change what it records when a browser sends a Do Not Track signal. Blocking cookies in the browser, or running an extension that blocks analytics, does stop the counting.

The light and dark switch keeps its setting in the browser itself. That never leaves the device and never reaches Royal Appliance.
